Taxes in New Zealand

New Zealand taxes on a resident's basis in other words once you are tax resident in New Zealand then you are taxable in New Zealand. Personal services income if you do work in New Zealand if you're earning rent from land in New Zealand all of those things will have a New Zealand source and so irrespective of whether you're tax resident here or not that will attract New Zealand tax. There is a 92-day exemption for people who come to New Zealand effectively to work for a foreign employer  so you wouldn't be taxable in New Kiwi on that. If two countries tax the same income then it's likely that you'd get a tax credit for the tax paid in the other jurisdiction.
