The Rise and Fall of Trip Advisor
In 2004, on the back of some incredible growth years, more traffic, more clients, and we were this marketplace. So we had this amazing flywheel at the time where some folks out there recognized if you were early in this stage,. It was impossible for anyone else to catch up to them. In late 2011, Trip Advisor became independent. We traded under the simple trip. And yeah, I managed to make it through all those transitions still enjoying my job almost every day of it, 22 years later.
