Is There a Need for Grid Power?
i can't conceive of any events that would actually be pra likely that would lead to the type of mass violence, scarcity, shortage that would affect it on a large scale. If we had an ex class solar flare, it could take down the power grids for months or even years. The lack of grid power would be absolutely devastating to our society because we're so dependent on grid power for so many things. Most of the american hospitals and ah and so far as i know, nearly all of the kidney kidney dialysis stand alone centrs dependent on good power.
