The Importance of Metaphysics in Modern Life

Alfred North Whitehead said that we are in a state of concresence at any given moment. And so can you just explain to the audience what that means. The underlying fundamental mindset behind that view is substance metaphysics and keeping things fairly static. We're not in that world anymore, maybe we never were but to degree we work as now they have like modern civilization came out of those ideas.
