How Can the Experience of Shabat Enhance Someone's Environmental Awareness?
According to a traditional jewish understanding of the sabbath, traditional jews turn off their electric devices before the sundown on friday. They only well turn their devices back on after three stars on s Saturday night. So we'll go for at least 25 hours without, without actively using electronic devices. I try, if i can, to not turn back my phone or a laptop until sunday morning. Those forty hours, for me, are like ai savora were wis were human beings, not human doings. Andad nhoght for the good.
