The Enlightenment in India

I think from the point of view of the British, it was probably working. I suppose they would say first that India is not a tabularaza. What tends to happen is that Western and Eastern knowledge becomes synthesised in the context of the colonies. The idea of improvement is basically virtual and real. It is an idea that exists in the mind of the colonisers.
