Male fish marsupium are all brooding species. Males hold on to the babies until they hatcht and give birth. They're not often that you see them doing much. Their camouflage is their main defence, so they just sit there,. But they are carnivors. These are hunters of very, very teeny, tiny little shrimps and prey - iddy biddy for the idy bitty mouth. And it almost looks like a hiccup when they do it. It's this rapid, jerky motion. This is known as pivot feeding. The head clips forward, and the mouth opens and sucks up the prey.
