Monica and her friend each had two volunteers from thiscamino accompany in them on the trail at all times. Monica still felt a mix of emotions as they took off. They would get up at six in the morning and try to cover enough miles that day to reach the next shelter or alverge. As they progressed, monica got more and more excited.
