How Can We Kill the Password for Good?

How can we finally kill the password for good, maybe even to including some form of recovery seed? It's a great question. And i really like this topic because i've found therere really different opinions on it, and all of them very interesting. One thing i would note is that even before those passwords fall away, if we can get to fewer roots of trust than having to proliferate passwords across accounts, that will still be a very large improvement to what the current internet holds for us.
