Forgiveness, Compassion and Meditation

I see forgiveness and compassion as skills of the mind that we can train and develop through things like meditation. We all have people in lives who we wish we could forgive or derest of large resentments, but also just day to day irritation. The more we experience resentment towards others and a feeling of lack of forgiveness, the more we find in our lives people we can't forgive. So it's an act of compassion towards ourselves as well as towards others.
