The Analytical Model of African Philosophy

There is an analytical model that the colonizers or the first colonians who arrived in Africa including missionaries were using. They would identify African culture and then try by all means to show that there is something wrong with it. So if you look at religion for example, everyone has an idea of existence but Africans and their beliefs, their ideas are all good. Those two levels, they did very well but what they then in my opinion did not do well was to recommend at the level of recommending what we should do. It's when they recommended that we should develop a philosophy that conforms in terms of methods and outlook to what already exists in the dominant tradition of philosophy. That's how I was
