Katherine Winter is the editor of In the Dark. She has saved us from releasing and you from hearing all of our worst ideas, our most confusing sentences are truly unfunny jokes. Reporter Parker Yasko spent months scanning more than 100,000 pages of court records on a portable scanner to learn just how often the district attorney in that part of Mississippi was striking black people from juries.
