The Harp Sponge

This one is a really weird looking organism. Can you imagine the hype you could turn up around a good grainy or blurry low resolution photo of this creature if it had not yet been identified? It looks like a device that one of James Bond's enemies would use to generate a deadly field of rays. So I'll try to if you're not able to look it up again, it's called the harp sponge or Condrochledia lira.
