You founded and co direct the critical illness, brain disfunction and survivorship center at vanderbilt. What is the purpose of the centre? The sibsenter really is here as a way to try and help rehumanize medicine and make sure that we see that person in the patient, rather than just critical illness and technology In losing contact with who they really are. It's also an opportunity for patients to get together. And it really functions a lot like other types of recovery groups. I have learned how these support groups can be truly life saving and life changing. That's the motto we're trying to use at the sib center.
