The sanctions make these ureaus and dollars that russia is earning from energy exports worthless. The real irony is that by blocking a lot of the supply of commodities, we're actually creating extra shortages on world markets. Still, it's a really kind of, you know, creating a problem in one way in order to then solve it somewhere else.
