Aristotle had this idea of syllogistic logic, where there were these particular patterns of how you could argue things. It took until 1830 with George Boole to kind of see that there was a level of abstraction beyond the template of a sentence. And I think what chat GPT effectively has found just like it discovered logic. You know, people are really surprised it can do these logical inferences.
