The Malthusian Argument for Overpopulation
There's a thread of this that runs all through the 20th century as well when you look at global efforts at international population control. There is also something that can be characterized as left Malthusianism, which tends now to be focused on the climate crisis. And so I would say it's more of a gestural understanding of Malthus than an actual sort of deep appropriation or bringing forward of his ideas.
