Is Aristotle a Poet?

In ancient Greece, scientific texts and treatises at first were written in meter because it took a while for people to start writing in prose. Aristotle kind of says at one point that children rhyme. And every child is born talking in a sing song way and making up little rhymes. And they learn the unnatural language of prose. He says in every society poetry comes first. Now my mind is completely blown to hear my husband say, not only did poetry come first, everything was written in poetry. Science was written in Poetry. History was written inPoetry. I would have had a career as a scientist. This is amazing. You're blowing my mind.
