How to Stop People Out of a Stock Run
When someone goes long, there needs to be an equal size trade going short. And one of the easiest ways to get sellers is effectively stopping people out. When a stock losses activated, that acts as all that sell side for you there. So they can get filled. If you look at a lot of sort of key reversals and whatnot, you'll always see some sort of spike into that level of support or resistance.
