Water is connected to everything we care about. We're running into limits on what we're able to do with the water resources we have, and we've not thought adequately about how to solve those problems. It's a question of who grabs the water, I guess. Our green revolution crops, while they produce more tons of wheat or whatever per acre, are water inefficient. The challenges that these are increasingly crossing over into the political arena,. They're increasingly causing political tensions, political violence."
