The Implications of AI's Perception in the World

I haven't found anyone yet that actually discusses the implications of AI's perception in the world. It's all self driving cars and how it applies practically to people living in the world, which obviously is important. But a car. Self driving car. Is that conscious? Like that question hasn't appeared in any of any of the videos that I've seen. And then, oh, it's got loads of experience. Excuse me. Driving experience in one place isn't drastically different from ongoing lived experience of human perception.
