The Importance of a Conversation With God
When God asks a question in scripture, it is a revelation of some sort. And so for God to say, where have you come from and where are you going, is really for God to invite her into a conversation with himself. It's not all this like, who told you? Who told you you were naked? So he's creating space for her to dialogue with himself.
