i feel like the real thing that did it was in 19 88, we get a surgeon general's report basically says, like in black and white, everyone should reduce fat to the extent possible. The report marks the first time the government has identified reduction of fat intake as the number one dietary priority. And also, i mean, i think the central sin of this report is that they didn't think of unintended consequences.
