The Five Points of Total Depravity

The acrostic tulip is designed to enable people to remember each of the five points. The T stands for total depravity, which some Calvinists don't like because it implies every human being is as evil and sinful as he or she could possibly be. Unconditional election says that surely God can look down the corridors of time, but what he sees is total and complete unbelief. And then P in tulip means perseverance of the saints; those whom God has unconditionally elected will ultimately endure unto the end and be saved.
