Is This Just Backward Engineering?

If we're going to ask ourselves what it means to live well, and we come to the conclusion that it's activity in accordance with virtue. How do we know whether to except that? And is this just going to come down to a matter of intuition? Or what if some one comes along and says, well, no, it is pleasure. What do you say to someone? Ye, it's got to be just based on the intuitions and the practices of people that we respect already. We have that's relying on our intuitions. So it just comes back to current practices and intuitions.
