Theology of Limits

i so often went beyond what god was asking me to do. I had zero theology of limits. But violating those limits, i got into all kinds of trouble. There's such a biblical, rich theology of limits going back to the garden of eden. So you're surrounded by limits, and so am i. Your time on earth, your gifts, your ability, your temperament, your personality, your family of origin, you name it. Ah, theyi'r limits, but they're a gift. They ground us. They teach us wisdom. Their invitation is to trust in the goodness of god. His ways are higher than our ways.
