CHAPTER

Evolution Is a Process That Does Not Think

As we step up to larger and larger collections of related individuals, what we have are larger and larger lineages which function like families. They evolve in the same way that families are capable of because they are related to each other in in genetically cise way. But the borders aren't necessarily a easily defined and then there's no easily defined border of a species either. So it is a family, a similar concept to race or lineage. Here there is actually no clear boundary between a family and the rest of the species? Well, family is not technically a lineage. It just needs to simply continually select that subset of lineages that are playing the game.
