I imagine these magi as having access to that type of information, but about just the natural heavenly bodies. They would have quickly identified the points of that behaved differently and didn't. And if they hadn't known that, their data set wouldn't have been big enough to move the needle. I bhink you're talking about thousands of years of information to justify that human behavior. It's what superstition is. We see a pattern three or four times, it correlates with something we like or don't like, and we say, ohl, that's that's an omen. But the question as to whether it checks out is, is there any vindication at the end
