Planting the Crops on the Full Moon

Even our scientific view is somewhat perfectly literal. A lot of things we describe in science are actually models at different levels of crudeness. But even a scientific world view has a certain amount of this metaphorical belief in it. In some fields, like biology, there's an awful lot of metaphor that does not line up with what's on inside of selves or creatures.
