The Myth of Web-Safe Fonts

Web-safe fonts were never really safe. You couldn't be sure 100% certain that it would work across the board now. People wanted Pixel perfect and line breaks to look exactly the same, which was basically impossible. And a whole lot of what people thought were Web-safe fonts are actually Microsoft packaged versions of particular fonts.
