In terms of the drawings that you make in the studio I know you make hundreds for each project is that right do they vary from very small sketches to very worked up drawings or do you tend to work on a similar scale and with a similar intensity on each one. when they started working with you you kind of gave them a pile of books as kind of the reference project yes so my studio is on two floors there's a staircase in between and so I use the staircase as a bookshelf so they're all there I guess it's everything from ancient mythologies to scientific books to with strange books about embolments and you know and and mummification and so like most artists
