The Ring Down Phase of the Merger of Two Neutron Stars Detected in 2017
The first gravitational wave event of two merging neutron stars that we saw in 2017. We know it made a new neutron star that lived for less than a second and then collapsed to a black hole but if we couldn't measure the ring down phase from gravitational waves how do we know that that's what occurred? The kilonova was initially blue and then it was red that can be understood as an indication that you had even if briefly that hypermacinistron star phase because it's an indication of having those extra neutrinos creating those extra protons and electrons and allowing the first light to come out to be blue i hope you don't mind i have so many questions for you
