The Risk of Terrorism in the United States

I think we probably didn't accurately assess the risk to terror posed to the united states by terrorism in those days for understandable reasons. Almost a quarter of the world's population subscribes to one flavor or the other of the Islamic faith and I would suggest that over the course of 20 years we have seen a tremendous amount of damage perpetrated by these people. There really hasn't been the sort of targeted directed uh unified effort that characterized 9-11 attacks, he says. The corrosion of republican virtues and republican institutions was caused by the global war on terrorism according to him.
