Deathless styx came first to olympus with her children through the wit of her dear father. She conceived and bore hecate, whom zeus honoured above all. The son of cronos did her no wrong nor took anything away. Of all that was her portion among the former titan gods she holds privilege both earth and in heaven. Because she is an only child, the goddess receives not less honour, but much more still.
