Introduction

The topic of our conference this morning is the existence of God. Let's try to put things in their theological perspective. St. Paul says, "...for what can be known about God is plain to them" The scriptures affirm that all human beings are capable of some kind of knowledge even apart from divine revelation. But Aquinas tells us that when it comes to a philosophically rigorous knowledge of theexistence of God, that kind of knowledge only for a few people after a long period of time.
