The 1922 committee of backbenchers decided how to get rid of a leader. There are no rules, the rules are just whatever the 1922 decide. And as people would always emphasize to me during the Johnson saga, when the majority of Tory MPs want something to happen, it will happen. But can I just quickly go back to Hunt? There's two things I think we should emphasize about his statement today and why he made it. By acting now and reducing government borrowing costs, he can actually make his situation better ahead of the OBR forecast.
