Using Deep Neural Networks in Image Classification

Researchers were using these deep neural nets and making them deeper and deeper. What can it perceive? Is it a picture of a person or an animal or a forest? And again, what kinds of issues were they bumping up against? So they were actually having some really interesting results from applying these deep neural networks to challenges like image classification.
