Gaslight and Sliver
In Gaslight, Ingrid Bergman can't even recognize what Charles Boye is doing until Joseph Cotton comes along and helps her get rid of him. The final frame of that movie suggests Ingrid is basically swapping a bad man for a supposedly nice one. But in Sliver, all men are bad, to one degree or another; once Carly recognizes that Zeke is a creep, she has to get out of this situation on her own. And in the last shot of the movie with her finger on the trigger of the off button, she says, get alive.
