The Art of Dying
The first master dire is Irene Clark, who was in our book. She did not get started as a weaver until she was in her early 30s. In the area that we're from, it's all natural blending of colors. And so we knew how to do the black with aniline die. We also knew how to whiten the white with gypsin clay.
