It takes tem getting used to yo have an orthotic in the at first it's irritating your foot's not used to having this extra structureyeyes, for some people. Even if you only correct by a few degrees, it might just be enough that the pressure is that bit less. The lateral ptelephomal joint is at its peak contact pressure - 60 degrees of neflection and 30 degrees of internal rotation. So even if you don't correct it completely, so they, milt may still have dynamic valgus,. but it might be sufficiently improved that the joint stress is less. And hence, it tips the balance.
