The petro dollar emerges in the fifties and sixties. And really, you know, you get into the sixties and seventies and then the eighties where it really starts to get weird and interesting and esoteric. That's what it really started to explode global. The idea that the oil explorl exporting countries, especially in the middle east, the opeck countries, admit it struck some sort of political deal with somebody somewhere toa exchange oil for dollars is a myth.
