The Deities of Old Europe
The house and the social unit it contained had some meaning. They were a thing unto themselves and together these households made up the community. What we see is an interlocking two-part system of rootedness at both the household and the community levels in old Europe. How do we know that? Well, primarily through one of the defining features of old Europe. Those ceramic figurines, most of which seem to be more or less feminine.
