Justin Burke: How often do we see kids with CKD fall through the cracks? We definitely see it happen really frequently so I don't have an exact number for you. He says there's a lot of barriers to transitioning from pediatrics to adults. There can be different comfort levels with caring for patients who have pediatric diseases, he says.
