Using Quantum Theory to Predict a Physical System
Physicists are getting close to the point where we can test a regime where some people claim quantum theory doesn't apply. This is because objects that we can manipulate in the lab are going close to some kind of mesoscale. And there you have something like a quantum probe like an elementary particle interacting with this larger object which could be a large mass, a large molecule and so on. You really don't know whether the combined system will or not obey quantum theory. It will have the same quantitative structures quantum theory by will be a different theory.
