Garland's Response to Attorney General Bill Barr's Politicization of the Justice Department

Merrick Garland is responding to what a terrible Attorney General Bill Barr was and how badly he politicized the Justice Department. He wants to move the department completely away from politics, re-establish its reputation for independence. But I think in an effort to avoid even the appearance of any partiality, you can, if you go too far, confer a kind of immunity on the former president and his enablers.
