Gregory of Nazianzus said the church is not experiencing peace that God is intending. He called it "absurd" to relish hostility and then imagine we are actually doing things dear to God, him who suffered for our sake. Our next father of the church is Saint Augustine of Hippo; he's more familiar here than Gregory. But I want to review again life, controversies and desire for peace.
