The Sixth Link in the Chain of Survival

The American Heart Association is focusing on and bringing these survivors back to talk to us physicians so that we realize it doesn't end when the patient goes home. It's really kind of the beginning for the patient and their families. I think that's really important to recognize because especially us in the intensive care environment. We are keep them alive, get them alive and get them to discharge or transfer it out into the unit. And we don't see that after effect or that post discharge effect very often.
