The final 16 years of the average American's life are spent sick. The health span is where the rubber meets the road, he says. We can live into our eighties and nineties being a healthier version of ourselves. But we don't have the capacity to take care of ourselves or function at a level that allows us to fully show up our life. And so as important, or really arguably more important, i think both can exist together but it's the health span where the rubber hits the road.
