Anxiety and Depression in Autism Spectrum Disorders

Autistic people have an increased sensitivity to threat perception in your environment. Neurotypicals tend to be more focused on kind of generalization. So that detail focus obviously is a major strength of the autistic brain, but I find that it tends to be one of the biggest contributors to anxiety as well. And sometimes having difficulty seeing the whole picture or the bigger picture can make things more difficult because of that cognitive style of coping with things.
