CHAPTER

Art, Activism, and the Great Unknown

At 19, my goals were to travel more to live in a commune or intentional community of some sort and to contribute to world peace through revolutionary action. I love that question. No one's impressed. So at 19, I actually lived in a shantytown on the area campus to protest the university's investments in apartheid South Africa. The need to be seen as good, the amazingness and the limits of social media, making space for ambiguity, self-care and activism,. being a leader by going first and never doing it alone. Welcome Nadia to Art, Activism, and the great unknown.
